Public Speaking Advice & New Jersey "Presenting for Results" seminar
On the podium, lean down hill
Sims Wyeth my East Coast Fripp Associate and all around great guy and superb speech coach wrote this…
At Snowbird in Utah, a friend led me to a slope so steep I didn’t dare lean down hill, which is exactly what I should have done. Instead, I leaned back in fear, fell hard, and slid headfirst to the bottom.
My belief that I couldn’t handle the situation made me fearful and tentative. I argued for my limitations, and I got to keep them.
As a speaker, when you get to the front of the room, get committed to your message. Don’t be tentative. Lean down hill.
Sims is re-launching his public seminar called Presenting for Results SM.
If you are in New Jersey this is a great event!
Oct 19th and 20th, 2010.
They kick it off at the Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton, NJ, which is on Rte. 3 East, just east of the Garden State Parkway.
There is very limited enrollment to keep it practical and interactive.
